In 2020, we were commissioned by the Government of Ghana to create a comprehensive documentary showcasing the infrastructure developments across the country’s 261 districts and 12 sectors i.e.
Education, Health,Food & Agriculture, Security, Water, Sanitation, Fisheries & Aquaculture, Transportation, Rail Redevelopment, Aviation, Petroleum, Power, Sports. This initiative aimed to enhance transparency and inform citizens about ongoing projects in their communities.​
Project Execution
Duration: 3 Months
Team: Film production crew, project managers, and government liaisons.
OBJECTIVES

To document and highlight infrastructure projects across 12 key sectors.

To create a visual resource that would support the launch of the Delivery Tracker, a digital platform for citizens to monitor government projects.

To foster public engagement and trust in government initiatives.
Our Approach

Pre-Production Planning

Conducted initial meetings with government officials to understand project goals and expectations.

Developed a detailed shooting schedule covering all 200 districts, ensuring representation from each of the 12 sectors.

Filming:

The crew traveled extensively across Ghana, capturing footage of various infrastructure projects, including schools, hospitals, roads, and water facilities.

Conducted interviews with local officials, project managers, and community members to gather insights and testimonials.

Post-Production:

Edited the footage to create a cohesive narrative that highlighted the vessel's features while maintaining an engaging pace.

Incorporated graphics and animations to illustrate technical specifications and operational capabilities.

The documentary was launched in conjunction with the Delivery Tracker platform, allowing citizens to access real-time information about projects in their constituencies. The launch event was presented by the Vice President of Ghana and was attended by key government officials, including ministers and parliamentarians, many of whom congratulated the Riverblade team for their outstanding work.

Launch and Impact
The collaboration between Riverblade and the Government of Ghana resulted in a successful documentary that not only showcased the country’s infrastructure progress but also empowered citizens through the Delivery Tracker platform. This project exemplified the importance of effective communication and transparency in governance, setting a precedent for future initiatives aimed at public engagement and accountability.
